Subject: NSCC Special Call for Projects: HPC Resources for COVID-19 Research <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Application Period:<\/strong>\u00a0Now \u2013 23 September 2020<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Resources Allocation Period:<\/strong>\u00a0One (1) year from date of resource allocation\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In view of the COVID-19 situation, NSCC will be supporting researchers in Singapore who wish to make use of supercomputing resources to aid their work on any effort related to COVID-19.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n This provision allows researchers who are involved in COVID-19-related research work to have \u2018fast-tracked\u2019 access to supercomputing resources and without having to wait for the biannual\u00a0Call for Projects<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This special call is open to\u00a0all NSCC stakeholders as well as non-stakeholders<\/strong>\u00a0as part of a national effort to deploy the extraordinary provisioning of advanced HPC to accelerate COVID-19 research in mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Duration of Call:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The application period for this special call is for six months, from 23 March \u2013 23 September 2020. NSCC will review this arrangement again near the end of the six-month period to evaluate the need for an extension.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. Types of Resources Available:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u00a0Resources provisioned have to be used up within one year from the time of allocation.\u00a0Projects under this scheme will be allocated a priority queue for their job submissions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5. Application:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The applications will be reviewed by a special COVID-19 selection committee comprising HPC Bioinformatics experts.
