Dear ASPIRE 1 users,
Please be reminded that NSCC will be enforcing a quota on the scratch disk on 1 November 2017. To recap, each user is entitled to a soft limit of 100TB and a hard limit of 150TB with a grace period of 7 days.
If you have exceeded the soft limit, you will not be able to write to it after 8 November. If you have exceeded the hard limit, you will not be able to write to it from 1 November.
Therefore if you have exceeded these limits please do your housekeeping immediately if you are still actively using the system.
In addition, we will be commencing a scratch disk purging policy where files which have not been accessed for more than 30 days may be removed without warning. Please remember that the scratch disk is meant to be high speed temporary working space which is not backed up. Therefore please move the files that you wish to retain to your home or project directories.
You may use the “myquota” command to see your disk usage.
Please contact us at [email protected] if you need any additional information. Thank you for your cooperation.
